What
kind
of
person
would
enjoy
Baltimore
Foodies? |
| |
The kind of person who loves good food, fine drink, meeting new people, and having fun - and thinks that all of the above belong together. |
|
|
 |
|
What
makes
Baltimore
Foodies’
events
unique? |
| |
In deference to your busy schedule, our dinner events are planned well in advance. As long as you register for each event through our website, they’re open to everyone: you, your friends, colleagues, significant others and not so significant others. |
| |
We also limit the size of all events (number of tickets available will vary depending upon the size and location of the event). This is done, in part, to assure only the very best quality food and service at each event, but also to keep the atmosphere light and to make it more conducive to meeting other foodies. |
|
|
 |
|
Do I
have
to
become
a
member? |
| |
No! Of course, we’d love for you to become a member, but non-members are welcome at our dinner events as well. Feel free to sign up for our FREE weekly e-letter and we’ll be happy to keep you informed of our upcoming events |
| |
While our members enjoy a $10 savings per ticket for all events, for your first event as a non-member, we’ll extend the same offer to you. It’s our way of thanking “new comers” for participating in a Foodies event. |

What
exactly
is a
“tasting
menu”?
|
| |
Typically, guests are treated to five to seven, small-portion samplings that show off the chef’s particular culinary forte, creativity and skill. It is not uncommon for each course to be paired with a select wine or other complementary beverage. |
| |
Some of the most prized seats in a restaurant are those reserved for tasting menu patrons. Traditionally, the head chef will personally meet the diners to talk with us about the evening’s menu, the items on it and his/her thought process in developing it. |
|
|
 |
|
Will
every
event
be a
tasting
menu? |
| |
Yes. And here’s why… |
| |
A tasting menu leads you on a tantalizing journey of discovery - through regions and themes that creatively entice the taste buds beyond the brink of conventional fare. |
| |
Sure, you can order the same old steak and potatoes, but with a tasting menu, you are FAR more likely to experience combinations and collaborations of tastes from ingredients you never would have thought of to pair. You’ll experience foods you’d have never ordered for yourself and realize what you’ve been missing out on (Don’t believe me? Read my review of the scallop omakase menu from our trip to Soigné!). |
|
|
 |
|
How
much
does
membership
cost? |
| |
There is an annual membership fee of $60. Six-month memberships are also available for $35. If you and a friend would like to attend events together, there is also a friend’s special. Two people can purchase a six-month membership for $50. All events are limited in size, so members always know about our events before anyone else and SAVE $10 per ticket for admission to each event. |
|
|
 |
|
What
are
the
members
like? |
| |
Ours is a diverse group of individuals from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and professions, who range in age currently from 25-58. Our one commonality and requirement is a genuine desire to have a good time, eat good food and meet other professionals in the area. |
|
|
 |
|
Do I
have
to
live
or
work
in
the
city
to
join
your
organization? |
| |
Of course not! Whether you live in the outlying areas or are just visiting Baltimore, if you want to have some fun and meet some new people, just check our website and register for the events that interest you. |
|
|
 |
|
I
don't
know
anyone
in
Baltimore
Foodies.
Can
I
come
by
myself? |
| |
Absolutely! Our aim is to create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for everyone to meet and get to know one another. In fact, let us know if you would like to be introduced around. Everyone who attends is friendly (we wouldn’t have it any other way) and we’ll be happy introduce you to everyone else. |

 |
|

 |
|
What
happens
if I
am
late
or
miss
an
event
that
I
already
paid
for? |
| |
Because we are required to pay a restaurant, we cannot provide a credit or refund without at least 72-hours’ notice. You are, however, welcome to give your ticket to somebody else if you are ill, hit six hours of traffic, have a personal emergency, or are otherwise unable to attend an event. Just drop us a line and let us know who’ll be dining in your place. |
