Who
are
Baltimore
Foodies'
members? |
| |
Our members are sophisticated and interesting professionals who know how to experience the best things in life. We are a diverse group of individuals from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and professions. Ages range from the 20s through the 50s. Our one commonality and requirement is a genuine desire to have a good time, eat good food, and meet like-minded people. |

What
makes
Baltimore
Foodies’
events
unique? |
| |
In deference to your busy schedule, our dinner events are planned well in advance. As long as you register for each event through our website, they’re open to everyone: you, your friends, and colleagues, significant others, and not so significant others. |
| |
We also limit the size of all events (number of tickets available will vary depending upon the size and location). This is done, in part, to ensure only the very best quality food and service at each event, but also to keep the atmosphere light and to make it more conducive to meeting other foodies. |
|
|
 |
|
How
long
do
the
events
last? |
| |
Midweek events generally end around 10:30 p.m., but you'll find some people engrossed in great conversation until the late hours. |
|
|
 |
|
Do I
have
to
become
a
member? |
| |
No! Of course, we’d love for you to become a member, but non-members are welcome. Feel free to sign up for our FREE weekly e-letter and we’ll be happy to keep you informed of our upcoming events. |
| |
While our members enjoy a $10 savings per ticket for all events, for your first event as a non-member, we’ll extend the same offer to you. It’s our way of thanking “newcomers” for participating in a Foodies event. |
|
|
 |
|
How
much
does
membership
cost? |
| |
The annual membership fee is $60. |
| |
Six-month memberships are also available for $35. |
| |
If you and a friend would like to attend events together, we also offer a friends' special ($50 for two six-month memberships). |
|
|
 |
|
I
don't
know
anyone
in
Baltimore
Foodies.
May
I
come
by
myself? |
| |
Absolutely! Occasionally two members will join and come together, but some 90% of members arrive solo. We're there to greet you and make you comfortable and to introduce you to new friends. Our “regulars” will also introduce you to others and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. |
|
|
 |
|
Can
you
accomodate
special
dietary
restrictions? |
| |
Yes. Inform us of your situation when you reserve, and we'll do our best to see to your needs. We have had strict vegetarians and diners with food allergies or religious diet restrictions among our attendees. In each case, we were able to make their meal an enjoyable experience. |
|
|
 |
|
Are
all
events
dinner
parties? |
| |
No. Each month we offer a wide variety of events, ranging from progressive dinner parties in funky restaurants to a “Mix 'n' Mingle” evening where we'll serve finger foods or a taste-off like champagne and oysters. Read your newsletter for more details. |
|
|
 |
|
Will
I
meet
eligible
singles? |
| |
While Baltimore Foodies is neither a dating nor matchmaking service, we know more than 90% of our members are single. When you come to our events, you will meet a steady stream of people who are also looking to meet new people. |
|
|
 |
|
Are
alcoholic
beverages
included
in
event
prices? |
| |
Yes and no. We offer a selection of matching drinks for our menu, but you are not required to have them. If you don’t care for the matching drinks, a cash bar is always available. For those who choose not to drink, we also offer a reduced dinner price. |
|
|
 |
|
How
do I
sign
up
for
an
event? |
| |
Read your newsletter, select the events which appeal to you, and go to the website. Just click on the BUY TICKETS link next to any of the events. You’ll be taken to a secure page where you can register by credit card. If a particular event has sold out, we'll put your name on a waiting list. If you have to cancel a reservation, we make it easy. |
| |
You can also purchase tickets by calling 443-621-0990 or e-mailing us at info@baltfoodies.com for information on how to pay by check. |
|
|
 |
|
What
happens
if I
am
late
or
miss
an
event? |
| |
To receive a credit or refund, you must cancel at least 48 hours prior to the event. However, if you are ill, hit six hours of traffic, have a personal emergency, or are otherwise unable to attend an event at the last minute, you are welcome to give your ticket to somebody else. Just drop us a line and let us know who’ll be dining in your place. |
